Apple have added a really nice new ‘compare products‘ section to their online store. In typical Apple style, it’s well designed and easy to use. You can select up to three products to compare, chosen from a Javascript overlay, which are then displayed in columns so you can quickly compare their features.
My favourite part of the design is the way the table changes as you scroll down the page: the product names and images always stay at the top so you can easily remember what you’re comparing, and the table’s various headings ‘collapse’ as you scroll past them. It’s a bit hard to explain, so go and add a few products and take a look for yourself.
