Chubbs portfolio images

This month sees the long awaited launch of S8080′s second digital illustration brand, ‘Chubbs’.

Developed through a demand for a funkier, harder edged style, ‘Chubbs’ seems destined to permanently park its wide load in the contemporary world of hi-end editorial and advertising illustration commissions.

Check out the latest work at www.chubbsstudio.com and be sure to add the site to your favourites to take advantage of the ‘downloads’ section, which features a series of wallpaper design for your computer desktop.

Redseal, S8080′s other long established digital illustration brand has just completed a major commission for the US version of lad’s magĀ - Maxim.

Maxim magazine added to our client list

Maxim magazine USA has commissioned S8080 to illustrate a major feature in their next issue.

The article is running in the July issue of the top lad’s magazine and communicates what you should do if you just happen find yourself inside one of the most secure prisons in the country.

The ‘expert’ article is a regular feature for Maxim and it’s a great pleasure to work with such a high profile client. We look forward to working with their Creative Director, Craig Brooks, on many more.

The new illustration will be up on the redseal site, www.red-seal.com at the end of the month and also on the maxim website, www.maximonline.com

Enjoy!

S8080 launches Ryder Cup Wales website

After comprehensive scoping, design, development and usability testing, S8080 has proudly launched http://www.rydercupwales2010.com/.

The new website outlines the benefits and opportunities that the third biggest sporting event in the world will bring-and is already bringing -to Wales.

S8080 creative director, Chris Cowell, said “Our design team have really pushed the boundaries of accessible design with the Ryder Cup Wales 2010 site. We have worked incredibly hard to develop a fantastic looking site, backed up by a rigorous user testing phase that meets and exceeds accessibility guidelines.”

Matt Howard, S8080 technical director, said “The whole alignment and information architecture phase was incredibly in-depth. We have developed a process that defines the key users of any particular website and plots a journey through the site that will give them maximum benefit. Of course people are free to browse, but on the whole, they are time poor and want instant access to the areas that are important to them.

We have officially built the website to WAI AA standard, but over 90% of the pages are actually AAA. Our experience in building accessible websites for major public sector clients, including the Cabinet Office, ACAS and DTI has seen us working to strict government guidelines. Our design and accessibility teams have worked closely and developed some cutting edge techniques for producing pages and content that everyone can enjoy.”
